As sponsors of the British Rising Star Award in the inaugural World Charcuterie Awards, Humidity Solutions are delighted to announce and celebrate the winner, the Northampton Charcuterie Company!
The World Charcuterie Awards saw traditional products from age-old industry giants in Italy, Spain and France, competing with innovative products across newer countries to the art from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Celebrating the scope and variety across the industry, more than 400 products were entered across 17 different countries worldwide at Billingsgate Market, London. Entries were blind taste tested by 40 charcuterie experts and ranked across a number of deciding factors: Taste, length of flavour, mouth feel and appearance as well as innovation or tradition.
The Northampton Charcuterie Company was noted by the judges “for their drive, ambition, continual development and their range of products”, securing the British Rising Star Award at the Specialty & Fine Foods Fair in Olympia London.
Henrietta Green, Founder of the World Charcuterie Awards, praised this years competitors and the scope of products brought into the spotlight. "As we all learn more about each other's specialties the subtle differences of cure and maturations that can result in a huge variety of flavours the we can all grow to love the broader flavour palette the charcuterie offers."
